APPROVAL TO AWARD BID #14-0278 FOR NURSING ASSISTANT, PRACTICAL NURSING, AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES LAB EQUIPMENT
Description
Bids to provide 'Nursing Assistant, Practical Nursing, and Emergency Medical Services Lab Equipment' for Sarasota County Technical Institute at North Port High School were received from five vendors on February 12, 2014. The bids of Laerdal Medical Corporation and Products Unlimited, Inc., were the best low bids meeting the advertised specifications. Reasons for not selecting the apparent low bid are included with the bid tabulation. Funds for these purchases are contained in the capital budget allocated for the program.
Recommendation
That the bids of Laerdal Medical Corporation and Products Unlimited, Inc., to provide 'Nursing Assistant, Practical Nursing, and Emergency Medical Services Lab Equipment' in an amount not to exceed $65,000.00, be approved as presented.
